How to Measure

To determine the correct size of Pull Out Shelves to order,  simply open the cabinet door and measure the width of the opening as shown below.  Don't make allowances. (See Exceptions, below)

 Example:

How to Measure Diagram  If W = 17-1/4" your order would be for that size, 17-1/4".

The hardware (except for the Hidden glide option) adds 1" to the total width of the operating Pull Out Shelf, and we allow 1/4" for clearances.  So we would ship a Sliding Shelf that measures 16" wide.  Adding the inch for hardware the overall size of your Pull Out Shelf and hardware would be 17", just right for your 17-1/4" kitchen cabinet opening.

Your Sliding Shelf will be 22" front-to-back.

Protruding European Hinge  European Doors Protrude into opening

Measure from the Hinge                                        Measure between doors

When we say 'Open the door and measure the opening', we actually mean for you
to use the width of the widest thing that would fit through the opening.  So if there are
hinges in the way, allow for them.  If the doors protrude, allow for them, etc, etc.

The exception is if you have a European cabinet and you want a Pull-Out Shelf about in the center, and there's no existing shelf on which to install it.  In that case you would measure from the cabinet wall to the cabinet wall, but let us know what's going on.  We can make the shelf fit for you.
